We take cyber security very seriously and always endeavour to take every precautionary step and measure to ensure your data is safe and secure. As hackers get smarter, we have to bolster our defences and do everything we can to keep personal data safe. Protecting our client’s data is a top priority.
That’s why we have recently engaged Paul Turner from Zynet to be our IT and cyber security provider, ensuring that Stephan Independent Advisory is as strong as it can be against possible attacks. I thought it would be a good idea to get Paul in for a practice update around cyber security, and go through some of the steps and security measures we have implemented.
In this cyber security practice update video, Paul and I discuss some key security measures we are taking a Stephan Independent Advisory against the threat of cyber security. These measures follow the Essential Eight framework – a cyber security framework developed by the Australian Cyber Security Centre to help organisations mitigate cyber threats. It outlines eight key strategies that act as a baseline defence against common attacks.
Paul also shares a few simple cyber security tips that you can implement to protect yourself from a potential cyber attack. These include using multi-factor authentication on all your passwords, reviewing the privacy settings on your social media accounts, and getting verbal confirmation before making any financial transaction.
Simple measures like these go a long way with cyber security. Although it can seem burdensome and time-consuming, adding extra layers of protection will give you the best possible chance to keep your personal data safe and secure.
